Random babble.

It's Friday! Woooo hoooo! I don't have any plans for the weekend but at the same time I have so many little things that need to get done. I have been extremely lazy this week! I've made dinners and managed to keep up with dishes but that's about it. Our laundry in the closet is piled up the walls and the bedding really needs to be washed {thanks to the dogs who made themselves at home on the bed while I was on my trip} There are rooms to be vacuumed, toilets to be scrubbed, and groceries to be bought. I think I have been enjoying all of the Christmas shows on TV a little too much this week {the original cartoon Rudolph the Reindeer movie anyone?} Plus my house is so full of decorations and Christmas spirit that I just want to sit and drink hot chocolate... NOT do housework.

Another thing staring me in the face is Christmas shopping... I looked at the calendar this morning and realized its almost the 2nd week of December already! Time is flying! I got most of the family's gifts while I was in California but I am still working on part of Jake's present and didn't realize how little time I have to pull it all together. There is also lots of Christmas wrapping to be done before Jake gets a chance to find out where some of his presents are hidden :)

Also, I have realized that it's been awhile since I posted real updates on our life
so I think I'll do that now...

Jake
Jake has been extremely busy lately. Remember all that crazy rain we were having earlier this fall? Well, Jake and his classmates {shown below in a picture from their solo party} are all trying to make up their missed flights in order to avoid being washed back to another class. Yesterday, Jake told me that he is so overwhelmed and that this week has been by far the toughest, most stressful week of training yet. Not only that but he has to work the entire weekend, including 2 flights on Sunday! Poor guy really needs a vacation. Thank goodness he gets a 2 week break for the holidays. It will be nice to actually spend some time with my husband again.

Pups
Badger is growing like crazy and is already almost too heavy for me to pick up. He is passing up Bailey in size very quickly but its clear that she will always have the dominant personality no matter how big Badge gets. Poor pups though are getting jipped on their daily walks lately, partly on account of my laziness but mainly because of the extremely cold weather. All in all, they are great dogs and they are the best company I could ask for!

Work
Work has been very slow the past few weeks and because of that my days seem to drag by at snail speed. I am definitely not complaining though because I imagine that my days would go by even slower if I was stuck at home by myself all day. The hard part about my job is that there is no room for promotion because 1) we are a very small company and someone would have to leave for me to be promoted, and 2) I will be leaving Mississippi in less than a year and therefore am not exactly a worthwhile investment. I have a hard time working with that in mind. I thrive off career goals and competition and this job lacks both. Oh well, like I said, I'm not complaining. I am SO grateful to have a job, especially one that is flexible and includes fun perks like free food at commercial shoots {like the one shown below}.

Weather
I know it's kind of pathetic to include a weather update on here but in Mississippi the weather has proven to be unpredictable and a pretty normal conversation topic among pilots & their spouses. Example? Two weeks ago it was 70 degrees here and today it is at freezing temperatures with a chance of snow tonight. That's weird, and quite an adjustment for me. Snow is not normal for this part of Mississippi, but hey, here's hoping for a white Christmas!

Well there you have it... a full Pruitt family update.
Life is good, no complaints. We are blessed and happy ♥
Thanks for reading!
