I have to say that it's hard for me to complain about being busy or stressed when I come home and hear about Jake's day. Not only does he have a stressful day every single day but he doesn't ever get to come home and just lay on the couch... there is always something to be studying. And now that he's in Phase 3 of UPT I think he is working himself even harder knowing that how he does in this phase will determine his entire career and our next assignment. So I let him overwork. I let him stress. I don't complain about the fact that I rarely get to see him. I just keep thinking that this will all be over in a few months and life can finally be somewhat normal again. In the meantime, please pray for Jake's endurance through the rest of training, and for all the guys in his class. They have all been working challenging 12 hour days + too many weekends for over 7 months now and I know it's wearing on each and every one of them. Hopefully they can all let loose at our party tomorrow and have a good time!
Changing the subject now. School is still on hold for me. This has been really bumming me out because I was planning to start again in just 3 weeks. I hope everything will work itself out quickly but for now, I have no new updates on that. On the other hand, I'm very thankful for the people who have contacted me about designing their blogs. Since at this time I can't do websites, blog design has been a good creative outlet for me. I'm finishing a design this week that I'm really excited about. It's totally different then anything I've done in the past! I'll post the details soon.
Ok let's talk now about the weather now. I think Mississippi is finally stepping into spring. It's been in the 70's lately! And with that warm weather, we have been having some crazy thunderstorms. I've never seen storms like the ones we have out here. Maybe I should video one of them so you all can see that I'm not exaggerating! Next week looks like it will be beautiful sunny weather though and I'm so excited. I think it's finally time to get out and start working in the yard!
Well since we ended with weather talk, how about some crazy weather pictures? I took this picture below on my phone while driving through Texas this past summer with my dad and my sister. I love it! I remember driving through a dark black cloud for an hour and then all of a sudden coming out into this beautiful sunny day...
And then we saw this later that day...
I look at these and wonder how anyone could not believe in God. His beauty and power are everywhere!
"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands." Psalm 19
