Here's a look at what the weather has been like here this week...
Yuck! I realize that this is normal winter time weather (especially for my loved ones reading this from the Northwest) but here at Travis we have been spoiled with wonderful sunshine all winter long so this week has been quite the change! For the past month, the weather here has been in the upper 60's/low 70's and I've already spent many wonderful sunny days this year tanning in the backyard in shorts and a tank top. I thought for sure we were just going to skip over the winter season completely and head straight for spring :)
I know that we desperately needed the rain this week as this winter has been especially dry for us, and for the first few days I was really enjoying the wet weather! There's something so wonderful about sitting in your pjs with coffee and a good book and watching the rain pour down outside. Plus it seems that one week of rain was all that was needed for the hills around us to turn bright green and beautiful! But now after a full week of this, my yard is flooded and soggy, my dogs are going stir-crazy in the house, and the rain still has no end in sight. And yes, I do hear all of you laughing at me because I've said "I can't wait to move to Washington" haha!
Yesterday we had a brief break in the storm so I jumped at the opportunity to run the dogs around the block and hopefully get some of their energy out. It even gave me an excuse to bust out the cute doggie rain jackets I bought last year during the rain :) How cute are my little pups?! They were so excited to get out of the house and I have to admit so was I - The clean, fresh air was wonderful!
Sunshine please come back soon!!!
